Lady In Yellow

*to Christopher Sonia Ogenekome for make beauty as effortless as breathing.*

HELP me say hello to the lady in yellow. I swear with everything hallowed, only an angel can glow with such halo.

The heads in the room stand at attention as you walk in, each saluting as they behold the brilliance of the sun as the fairness of you face blends with the fabric on your skin. The fragrance of roses in bloom saturates the atmosphere as though spring has sprung up in the heat of fall.

Goosebumps all over as I stand awe-struck by the lightening of your elegance. Your heels hitting the floor echoes a rhythm that makes the choir in me want to sing for joy. Funny, this divine vision, a gleams of heaven, all coming to me in church; just can’t help but testify.

I wish to say hello to the lady in yellow. I swear with everything hallowed, only an angel can glow with such halo.

I still want to steal another look. The crimes these stares perpetrate can’t be brought to book, because they're only doing you justice. It's human nature and you know how to provoke it: a gloriously glowing diamond. This sight is an eclipse but it won't in anyway do these eyes damage.

I guess it has something to do with the dress, how it reveals your bold shoulders, and hugs tightly the curves down to the knees. Still, it doesn't need to flow down to display you as a princess. Priceless. It's not gowns that make royalties yet the way you rock it commands loyalty: men can't help but bend the knee.

Can I say hello to the Lady in yellow. I swear with everything hallowed, only an angel can glow with such halo.

I humbly seek permission, suddenly overwhelmed with the fact that I'm not worthy of such acquaintance. Can my hands hold yours? The thought of our palms colliding causes me a brain explosion.

You deserve roses at your feet, diamonds round your neck, Jimmy Choo’s on your heels and Audemar on your wrist. But all of these are just designer fig leaves in the face of your inner adorning. The light in the room at the sight of your entrance is just a sign of divine presence at the core of your essence. You can’t help but show it.

Hello, Lady in yellow. I swear with everything hallowed, only an angel can glow with such halo.
